Ward's may not be a grand place to "eat-in". I've never even tried. For years it was take out only. An oh, the take out plates! One plate is enough for two meals unless you are a mighty hearty eater. Their BBQ sauce is available so that you can have it as mild or as hot as you want, and the flavor is GREAT. Their hash is superb! Can't get decent hash in Rock Hill or the Upstate so whenever we are near Sumter, to Ward's we go and stock up. (I use the Alice Drive site) Never once in all the years I have been eating Ward's have I ever encountered any problems sanitation wise. It isn't new, modern, nor pristine but they keep the food temperatures safe and the important factors are important to them. This is an old fashion place with old home BBQ made the right way.
